AD MEPSO (Macedonian Transmission System Operator) invested over 1 million euro in maintenance of its power transformer stations in 2009.

AD MEPSO (Macedonian Transmission System Operator) invested over 1 million euro in maintenance of its power transformer stations in 2009.

MEPSO teams carried out monitoring, inspections, repair and replacement of part of primary high-voltage equipment in 51 power transformer stations in the country in the period from March to December.

Also 90 thermovision inspections in power transformer stations, more than 100 check-ups in measuring transformers in high-voltage fields of power transformer stations as well as other inspections for the security of the work and installations in 43 power transformer stations in the country were carried out.

- By realisation of these activities, sector for power transformer stations, raises the level of safety and improves the reliability in energy system and reducing the risk of work in power transformer stations to minimum, reads the press release from AD MEPSO.
